These were so simple to make and very very yummy! They go perfectly with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. Enjoy!
Makes 10
Preparation time: 50 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
125 g / 4.5 oz caster sugar
1 egg, beaten
50 g / 1.75 oz plain flour
0.5 salt
0.5 tsp
175 g / 6 oz porridge oats
125 g / 4.5 oz raisins
2 tbsp sesame seeds
Method
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the beaten egg gradually and beat until well combined.
4. Sieve the flour, salt, and baking powder into the creamed mixture. Mix well.
5. Add the porridge oats, raisins and sesame seeds and mix together thoroughly.
6. Place spoonfuls of the mixture well apart on the prepared baking ttrays and flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.
7. Bake in a preheated oven, 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4, for 15 minutes.
8. Leave the biscuits to cool slightly on the baking trays, then transfer them to a wire rack and leave to cool completely before serving.
